The "Scarecrows along Main Street" (SAMS) in Wethersfield, CT, continues to be a community enriching activity of the "Olde Wethersfield Shopkeepers Association (OWSA)". "SAMS" is eagerly anticipated and awaited by potential participants (scarecrow artists) and visitors to the olde village alike. Last year the SAMS exhibit received some recognition and promotion from a couple of national and region travel magazine, attesting to its prior successes and reputation.

Wethersfield.net has visited the exhibit faithfully for the past several years. SAMS 2004 has come in gone. But, again, we offer here our own Halloween review of this local, autumnal event. Our review serves as a reminder of the highlights of this year's event. The weather this year was generally delightful and allowed a record number of visitors to survey and sample scarecrows. Weather fortunately did not dampen the enjoyment and enthusiasm our visitors, local and from afar.

Wethersfield.net is unaffiliated with the Old Wethersfield Shopkeepers association but we recognize the benefits which OWSA brings to the heart of Wethersfield, its "village" and to community we call home.
