1. (l-r) Youthful, home-grown buskers brighten the air of the CornFest: Nick Cappellini, Tyler Horan, Tom Misenti.

2. The CornFest has become a venue for local teens to be themselves, colorful, iconoclastic, boisterous at times but not unruly; they can let their hair down and let it all (almost) hang out.

3. Treasures galore, the CornFest provided Kevin Yade with his catch of the day.

4. Chamber of Commerce food booth, with pizza, popcorn and of course corn on the cob, was staffed by Chamber members. The evening before, the Wethersfield Chamber of Commerce sponsored its 1st Annual Family Movie on the Green, Chamber president Carmela Moore pointed out (9/30/2002).

1. Wethersfield Community TeleVision (Cox Cable Channel 14 locally) president Rick Garrey interviews a youthful visitor at the CornFest and Business Expo, live. After editing the "footage" from the CornFest will be aired.   WCTV Clik, visit, [X] to return here.

2. The future producer of Wethersfield Community TeleVision - or some other TV show concentrates on the audio throughput and she scans the bank of monitors before her. By the way, that IS a lollipop! (Can you identify her for us? First name only will be published; our policy for young kids).

3. Among the many public service organizations who participated in the CornFest and Business Expo was the Team Towanda Foundation focused on breast cancer identification, decision making and post-treatment support.

4. The Wethersfield Village Improvement Association staffed a informational "booth" at the CornFest to inform the public of their many projects which have beautified the old village and encourage individuals to join in the effort.   WVIA Clik, visit, [X] to return here.

1. Another shot of the Wethersfield Village Improvement Association who was involved in the restoration of the Hubbard Houses Street Signs in Old Wethersfield.

2. Rick Garrey has corralled another group of future TV stars and gives them the opportunity to "be on TV" (at least locally).

3. (l-r) Lynne, Pierro, Assistant Director of Nursing at the Middlesex Healthcare Center, has just presented Judy Keane with a contribution which Pierro's organization had raised for the benefit of the Richard M. Keane Foundation. The Keane Foundation was founded to commemorate and honor Wethersfield resident Richard Keane, one of the victims in the 9/11 terrorist attack on NYC. More information about the Keane Foundation is available via this site's home page.  Clik to open new window, visit, [X] to return here.

4. Rick Garrey (pres' of WCTV-14)(lt) and Ed Zambrello (producer and technical supervisor) rustle up enthusiasm among visitors to the CornFest.

1. Unfettered teens doing their thing at the CornFest which provided them the opportunity to mix and mingle, to see and be seen by their cohorts, other townsfolk and visitors.

2. Vanessa (wife of Mark) and her 12 week only daughter Serina finally getting out of the house with enough energy to enjoy the day's activities.

3. More teens enjoying the CornFest which allowed them to be themselves.

4. OofDah! (?spelling) Several additional whacks of the mallet kept this little guy busy for a while.

1. Soft-sided, air-filled shoes, rooms, tunnels and the like provided a safe environment for childish play and release of seemingly boundless energy for many.

2. The northern section of the Broad Street Green also hosted the arts and crafts booths and vendors, always eagerly visited by many. Candy Corn kernels for the front lawns at Halloween are pictured here.

3. From fine and delicate creations, through specialized clothing (as pictured here), to specialty foods and fanciful items , the arts and crafts section had something for everyone.
