Old Wethersfield, CT 06109
Garden Street at Nott Street

Mikey's Place is in Wethersfield, Connecticut, specifically that part of town referred to as "Old Wethersfield." It is located within Standish Park, itself bounded by Nott Street (to the north), Hartford Avenue (to the east), Garden Street (on the west) and Hanmer School and Francis Street (to the south).

Specifically, Mikey's Place is at the northwest corner of Nott Street and Garden Street. Parking is allowed along Garden Street and Hartford Avenue, but is discouraged along Nott Street. There are four, special, off-street, "handicapped," parking spots at the south gate of Mikey's Place (on Garden Street) along with five conventional parting spots.

FROM the North: (through the southeast corner of Hartford by US Rt.91 South and CT Rts.5/15 South), get onto Silas Deane Hwy ( is CT Rt.99, southbound): Going south on US Rt.91 in Hartford, keep your eyes peeled for the signs for CT Rts.5/15 southbound, be sure to be in the proper (right) lane for CT Rts.5/15 and take EXIT #28. No sooner do you link up with 5/15, start to look for the signs to Wethersfield, Rocky Hill, CT Rt.99. Follow CT Rts. 5/15 for less than 1 mile to the very first exit (#85) within Wethersfield (a sharp cup-handle to the right,) bearing to the right until you merge with Silas Deane Highway (southbound) which is CT Rt.99. You go to the third (3rd) stop light; this is Nott Street; turn LEFT. Mikey's Place is about 2/10 mile straight ahead.

FROM the South: (through the northeast corner of Rocky Hill by CT Rt.3 or by US Rt.91,North; then via Silas Deane Hwy (CT Rt.99,North):

(1) Coming from US Rt.91 NORTHbound, there are two options: either take the easier, slower, traffic-light heavy route coming up nearly the entire length of Silas Deane Highway (CT Rt.99) from Exit #24 near the Wethersfield - Rocky Hill border, -or-, try your hand at the rather tricky, faster (if you don't get lost) route through the meadows near the Putnam Bridge and then through Olde Wethersfield:

(A) Up Silas Deane Highway: (RECOMMENDED)
In the northwest corner of Rocky Hill, keep your eyes peeled for Exit #24 off of northbound US Rt.91, and take it, bearing RIGHT smoothly and yield onto Silas Deane Highway northbound (passing under Rt91 you were on moments before). You will need to go about 3 miles north (toward Hartford) down to the RIGHT. The 5th stop light is at the intersection of CT Rt.3 (which you are just going to go across/through (NO turns there!); you can pick up the rest of the directions in paragraph (2) or (3) below at (**).

(B) Via the "Meadows" Route: (ONLY for the adventurous)
On US Rt.91, go PAST exit #24, to the combined EXIT 25-26, then BE SURE TO IMMEDIATELY BEAR RIGHT ONTO EXIT #26, OR ELSE YOU WILL WIND UP ACROSS THE RIVER IN GLASTONBURY. Go to the end of the ramp and turn LEFT (or else you will wind up in the "meadows" / swamp). Follow the round around to the right, past Putnam Place, to the next STOP sign and turn LEFT and then go UNDER the US Rt.91 overpass (about 200 yards) until you are FORCED to make a turn: TURN LEFT (right is NOT permitted). DON'T GO UP ANY RAMPS!!! You are now on Marsh Street; keep bearing right into the heart of Old Wethersfield. There, where Marsh Street CROSSES Main Street, it becomes CHURCH Street; go straight ACROSS onto Church Street. Proceed about 1/4 mile to the FIRST stop sign; THIS IS GARDEN STREET: turn RIGHT. Mikey's Place is 1/4 mile ahead on your right. You can park along Garden Street.

(2) Coming from CT Rt.3 WESTbound (either from US Rt.91,South, or, from Glastonbury CT Rt.3,West), proceed west about 3/4 mile through two (2) stop lights to the third (3rd) at Silas Deane Hwy (CT Rt.99); be sure to stay in the right lane; once at Silas Deane Hwy, turn RIGHT (northbound toward "Hartford"). Not counting THIS light, (**) proceed north on Silas Deane to the fourth (4th) stoplight. Go past Wethersfield Town Hall (555 Silas Deane, a long white building (on your left) and go to Nott Street (4th light) and turn RIGHT. Mikey's Place is about 2/10 mile straight ahead.

(3) Coming from Ct Rt.3 EASTbound (from Rocky Hill or from Newington via CT Rt.287,Eastbound), proceed east to Silas Deane Hwy (CT Rt.99); be sure to be in the LEFT turn lane at Silas Deane Hwy; once there turn LEFT (northbound toward "Hartford").

FROM the West: (through the northeast corner of Newington by CT Rt.175 EASTbound), then via Silas Deane Hwy (CT Rt.99 northbound): From Cedar Street in Newington (CT Rt.175) go east into Wethersfield where the same road is named "Wells Road" but is still CT Rt.175). Proceed until you reach Silas Deane Hwy (CT Rt.99); be sure to be in the LEFT turn lane at Silas Deane Hwy; once there turn LEFT (northbound toward "Hartford"). Not counting THIS light, proceed north on Silas Deane to the third (3rd) stoplight. Go past Wethersfield Town Hall (555 Silas Deane, a long white building (on your left) and go to Nott Street (3rd light) and turn RIGHT. Mikey's Place is about 2/10 mile straight ahead.
