A Poem for Mikey’s Opening
Mikey’s Place is Here Today

We’ve watched it grow before our eyes,
It was put together with a lot of gals and guys.
We’ve had races, dinners, and softball games too,
It couldn’t be here without all of you.
Kids have been playing on it since they could,
For all of us it did a lot of good.
I’m talking about Mikey’s Place,
A happy place for every face.
For what I say today is true,
Mikey’s Place is here because of you.
Mikey’s Place is here today,
So lets all go out and play!
