Adults provided most but not all of the brains and brawn needed to put all the pieces of Mikey's Place together. A small army of children of all ages seemed to be on the site helping in their own ways. Some worked with a parent. Some worked with by themselves. Some worked with other children on assigned or found tasks. Others just played. All helped to provide a constant reminder that everyone was working for them and countless other children who would be visiting Mikey's Place now and for many years to come.

" Erika (toddler) at times gave her a better workout than she was getting while helping at Mikey's Place."

"Little Madison" also helped her mom, Patty, move more than just wood chips.

Mikey's sister Danielle lent a hand each weekend.

Laura, Kayla, Danielle, and Ben also helped to move the mountain of wood chips needed to cushion the ground around the playscape.

A small mountain of packing materials had to be removed from the site to the dumpster.

"Josh", as other kids, found the equipment very enticing, succumbing to that temptation happily.

"Will" helped to test the equipment even before it was completed. Kristopher said the large circular slide was 'great' more than once.

"Taking a break, Kara, Julia, and Allyse enjoy the equipment."
